Story
Mariel DeYoung is a former collegiate tennis player who has transitioned into a pickleball pro and coach. She played tennis at the University of Georgia, earning two All-American honors. Following her collegiate career, she served as the Assistant Women’s Tennis Coach at Georgia Tech from 2005 to 2007, contributing to the team’s first NCAA National Title. After years of competing at the highest level in tennis, she discovered pickleball’s unique blend of strategy, fun, and community. As a pickleball pro, Mariel has dedicated herself to sharing her love for the game, inspiring players of all levels to embrace its culture.
Fueled by her creativity and entrepreneurial spirit, Mariel founded PickleMama, a lifestyle and athleisure brand celebrating the vibrancy of the game.
